just a small note but a massive thank you to those staying up late; on the east coast, west coast, everywhere in between, overseas and of course michael’s ohana in the aloha state, for the all the outstanding support and love streaming to him. we are certain every letter of every word read to him is the reason he presses on. he’s looking great and feeling confident and on fire knowing you all are out there living this journey with him.

Luckily there is no rain…
Unfortunately there is no sunshine either. We’re officially racing in darkness and Michael is 75.6% done with the race! We can see the headlamp at the end of the tunnel! On to the 80 mile turnaround and the last 20!!!

Quick post from the trenches; Michael got fresh socks and the best grilled cheese he will ever have in his life at the last aid station at 63.1 miles. He looked great and feels better than at 60 miles. He wanted to thank everyone for their support through blog comments, personal emails and audio clips and says they have been immensely helpful to him!!

Here comes a regular
Michael came through the 60 miles looking tired but determined. A little food, a little drink and some sunshine (finally) reenergized him and gave him the push he’ll need for his next 20 mile loop. 60 down 40 to go!!
